Depression, anxiety and other mental health concerns can hinder the life patients want for themselves. As a Behavioral Health Therapist on our team, you will utilize your specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to care for patients of all ages, backgrounds and needs. Your work will directly impact their lives as you work to help them improve their overall well-being.    

A caregiver in this position works a hybrid schedule from 8:00AM – 5:00PM, with one day/week in-office requirements. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to patients.  
  • Provide individual, group, family and crisis counseling.  
  • Utilize a clinical focus across the mental health spectrum, from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.  
  • Participate in the development and implementation of assessments based on interdisciplinary treatment plans.  
  • Consult with team members, statutory/voluntary agencies and relatives to ensure compliance with the patient treatment plan.  
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, community support workers and facilities to obtain information and facilitate discharge planning.  
  • Educate and provide resources to patients and families.  
  • Supervise and/or train lower-level social workers, students or interns.  
  • Process paperwork and complete clinical documentation.  

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field 
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with no record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports 
  • Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting  
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories and practices sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and counsel patients

Physical Requirements:

  • A high degree of manual dexterity to produce materials on PC; normal or corrected vision; extensive sitting and frequent walking; occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.
