Accountant II
Summary:
Mission /AuthorityRepresent Financial Services’ commitment to serve others with integrity and compassion, execute with excellence, and create solutions through collaborative efforts within the department and across departmental lines. This position is responsible for the accounting of Young Life’s international mission units. The International Accountant will assist with related reporting, budgeting and monthly financial analysis. In addition, this position provides continued training and customer service for Young Life international staff.
Essential Duties:
- Complete and review various monthly camp accounting reports.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Answer inquires from camp bookkeepers, office managers, camp managers and coordinators.
- Assist in the training of camp bookkeepers on accounting, Workday and Young Life policies.
- Utilize creative problem-solving in identifying and implementing new process enhancements and better financial reporting, so as to keep Young Life ‘cutting-edge’ in these areas
- Assist with maintaining the Camping Accounting Manual.
- Assist the Manager of Camp Accounting with the closing of the Workday Fixed Asset module.
- Maintain the Activity Manager module in Workday.
- Send out approved CARs and ensure they are set up properly in Workday and reflected on the Camping Reporting Packages.
- Prepare asset roll forwards for camping assets.
- Perform the capitalization of camp assets.
- Assist ACH team with bank transmittals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Office environment, hybrid, or remote.
Education:
BSBA in Accounting or other financial related field of study
Experience Required For The Job:
- Nonprofit accounting experience helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to pay extreme attention to detail and handle daily multi-tasking.
- Excellent professional communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service and work product while filtering frequent interruptions and questions.
Job Specific Working Conditions:
The anticipated salary for this position can range from $42,009-$52,575.50 depending on relevant education or experience.
