Our Industrial Security team in Middletown, RI, is presently seeking a Facility Security
Officer (FSO) to join the team.

Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for the management of security operations for the
BBN Middletown, RI location with primary responsibilities as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) under the 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Reporting to the BBN Industrial Security Lead.
What You Will Do:
You will manage a team of security professionals to ensure compliance under the NISP.
Provide oversight and leadership of the following elements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) at the Middletown, RI location. Manage DD254s, collateral program security requirements, Personnel & Facility clearances, Training & Briefings, Classification & Markings, Administrative Inquiries, Safeguarding, Classified Visits & Meetings, Classified Subcontracting, COMSEC, and DoD Closed Areas (DCSA Form 147).
Administer the company programs for handling and safeguarding classified and proprietary information.
Coordinate and collaborate with government and industry oversight agencies to facilitate inspections/audits of security programs and systems.
Draft and enforce policy and procedures to ensure compliance with government and Company requirements in conjunction with BBN and RTX standards.
You will investigate security violations and prepare reports detailing procedures to preclude future occurrences.
Provide support to site Special Programs and projects as needed
Coordinate with government agencies to obtain authorizations and acceptable deviations with regulations.
Closely work with other security counterparts.
You will lead facility level Insider Threat Program, security incident response and workplace violence team
Provide guidance, subject matter expertise and mentorship to security personnel
You must hold a current Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience managing and implementing security program requirements in a classified R&D environment, an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree, or an advanced degree with 2 years of experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- Experience conducting NISP Self-inspections of varying complexity.
- Work experience interacting / working with Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency and/or other Cognizant Security Agency personnel as well as varying levels of senior and executive leadership
- Ability to travel, as needed.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
