Summary of role

We are looking for a new team member to join our facilities team. This role will provide comprehensive industrial site electrical systems and components operation, repair and maintenance. Additionally, it will provide direct electrical support to all environments on site, taking necessary actions to fully support manufacturing schedules, meet product delivery goals and ensure facility compliance. Acts as an electrical/electrical code Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
• Effectively identifies and addresses site electrical and control issues. Interacts with local electrical/building officials as required to secure permits and complete work.
• Is a key member of a functional matrix team who works collaboratively to achieve organizational goals stepping outside of normal role as needed in support of the team.
• Routinely applies SME knowledge across a broad spectrum of skills including all aspects of industrial/commercial electrical systems/equipment repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and operation.
• Completes preventive maintenance and repairs as scheduled in conjunction with management. Ensures attainment of daily schedule and communicates interruption to schedule utilizing established workflows.
• Utilizes CMMS Maximo to identify, plan, and execute work. Ensures all time and material are captured in Maximo contemporaneously with GxP work actions.
• Partners closely with Environmental Health and Safety to ensure safe work practices and compliance.
• Organizes and leads contractors during performance of repairs or shared activities.
• Completes cycle counting and inventory transactions using established methods on time and accurately.
• Partners with the site engineering functions to aid in project development, execution, and testing. Provides technical input on project teams in support of project and organizational objectives.
• Provides controlled and well documented solutions to ensure site electrical infrastructure health and sustainability.
• Safely manages individual and team-based involvement in hazardous environments or activities such as confined space entries.
• Provides coverage during off-hours and holidays as needed as part of an on-call rotation.
• Effectively communicates and applies improvements with full compliance to OSHA, Federal, State, Local, and other regulatory bodies utilizing standard practices/ procedures for documenting changes and testing.
• Actively promotes safety rules and awareness. Always demonstrates good safety practices including the appropriate use of “personal protective equipment” (PPE). Reports and takes initiative to correct safety and environmental hazards. Continual adherence to established safety procedures and use of proper PPE such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hats, and hearing protection is expected.

Basic Qualifications
• High School diploma required- related coursework preferred. 15 + years’ experience in industrial/commercial electrical construction/service.
• SME level knowledge of; variable frequencies drives, building automation systems, lighting control systems, fire alarm systems, gaseous suppression systems, process instrumentation, temporary equipment installation, standby generators, power distribution, motor control centers, and uninterruptable power supplies.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrical License and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to climb and perform physically demanding work from ladders and scaffolds at heights.
