As a Director, Strategic Finance , you’ll impact the lives of everyday people and help them go from surviving to thriving with innovative digital personal finance solutions. You will report directly to the Head of Strategic Finance on the company’s most critical priorities. This individual will be a force-multiplier and potential succession candidate, bridging corporate development, capital markets, and FP&A. The role is highly strategic — focused on connecting operations and business performance with enterprise financing strategy and long-term value creation. 

What You’ll Do:

• Drive cross-functional strategic finance initiatives across Capital Markets, Accounting, BI, and Business leadership (e.g., securitization, mezzanine capital, new financing structures).
• Provide FP&A oversight and decision support across corporate and business units, ensuring alignment of budgets, forecasts, and performance management.
• Support investor and lender engagement in close collaboration with the IR lead.
• Partner with leadership and founders on capital structure, financing options, and long-term strategy.
• Work directly with business unit leaders, Marketing, and Sales/GTM teams to connect strategy, operational performance, and financial outcomes.
• Lead integrated forecasting and scenario modeling that ties daily business drivers to enterprise value.
• Frame strategic pathways for growth and value creation, translating insights into actionable recommendations for the exec team and board.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 7–10+ years in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or strategic finance.
• Exposure to capital markets transactions (debt, securitization, mezzanine) preferred; able to coordinate vs. lead technical structuring.
• Strong foundation in corporate strategy, valuation, and enterprise modeling.
• Technical skills: advanced financial modeling (3-statement, valuation, securitization cash flows, scenario modeling), Excel/Sheets, familiarity with SQL/BI tools a plus.
• Executive presence to face off with investors, founders, and senior internal stakeholders (BU leaders, GTM, BI, etc).
• Strategic thinker who connects capital markets, corporate strategy, and business performance.
• Strong communicator and coordinator — able to influence both internal operators and external investors.
• High horsepower, low ego, thrives in ambiguity, and builds structure where none exists.

Work from home/hybrid:

We are proudly offering hybrid options in the San Mateo, CA, and Phoenix, AZ metro market. In other locations throughout the country, we offer work from home, like: TX, UT, NV, WA, FL, IL.

Salary Range: $190,000 to $220,000 annually + bonus + benefits.
