POSITION:          Police Officer

LOCATION:        Pinnacle Bank Arena – Lincoln, NE

DEPARTMENT:  Event Services

REPORTS TO:    Director of Event Services

FLSA STATUS: Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

JOB DESCRIPTION

Patrol all assigned locations as directed, stationary and mobile.  Works independently; judges and assesses situations for immediate response.  Secures property from damage, theft, and vandalism.  Courteously investigates persons who look suspicious or out of place.  Responds to emergencies, incidents, accidents, and requests for service as required.  Maintains records, logs, databases, filing systems, and other necessary records/forms as directed by the Director of Event Services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• CLEET Certified Law Enforcement Officer
• Six months to one year of security experience, preferably in a similar environment
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work harmoniously in a team setting exhibiting excellent customer service to fellow workers, guests, clients, and the community.
• Personal and professional initiative, enthusiasm, and dedication to excellence in wide ranging services to the center’s clients and their customers.
• Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

• Handle conflicts, make common sense decisions and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations.

• Meet the physical demands of this job, which include being able to get in and around the facility, lifting 50 pounds, extensive walking to patrol all parts of building including all stairwells, climbing and moderate to loud noises.
