Facility Maintenance Service Technician - Automated Warehouse (Medical/Surgical supplies)

Location: Chino, CA, USA - 16043 El Prado Road 

Shift: Monday to Friday, 2pm-10:30pm. Shift subject to change based on needs of the business. OT mandatory if required. Emergencies in the building may cause work on weekends.

Job Summary:

McKesson’s temperature controlled automated Distribution Center in Chino, CA is currently hiring a Facility/Maintenance/Service Technician. This is a chance to work for a company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare.

The distribution team is seeking an individual who has repair experience and knowledge of a broad range of complex facility systems.  This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform complex technical tasks.  This candidate should be able to communicate professionally with a wide range of groups from external clients to upper management to front line employees and must possess an aptitude to learn quickly on new conveyance systems.

What You Will Need:

• Facility, maintenance or service technician experience, preferably with exposure to automation

• Experience with Power Equipment is required (Forklift/Reach Truck/Pallet Rider); must be able to become certified and maintain certifications

• Troubleshooting and repair experience with a variety of different equipment used in a distribution center environment

• Knowledge and safe usage of various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade (hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, etc.)

• Basic knowledge/exposure to warehouse work environments

• Basic knowledge/exposure to various trades

• Basic use of Microsoft Office products with the ability to learn and use internal software(s) as needed

• Exposure to OSHA and general safety in a warehouse environment

• Assists in managing preventative maintenance scheduling and vendor contracts related to facilities services

• Assists in preparing reports, correspondence, presentations, and other materials.

• Positive, proactive, organized team member who is willing to continuously learn in a fast paced environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Includes standing, sitting, walking, general labor, ladder, scissor lift & fork truck use, climbing up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment.
