Summary:
The Supply Chain Scheduler is a key interface between Supply Network Planning and Plant Operations. In this role the Scheduler will utilize their understanding of the manufacturing processes and material flow to ensure the execution of the weekly production schedule. They will also ensure that the system accurately reflects the work order status and resolve schedule adherence issues with Network Planning and Plant Operations.
Responsibilities:
Long term planning and follow up
- Coordinate with Network Planning to develop optimal production plans that accurately account for machine and labor capacity constraints. Provide input on all production planning parameters for the creation of these production plans.
- Track schedule adherence and production output to identify and react to trends.
- Perform root cause analysis on all schedule adherence issues and work to resolve those issues as part of HPS to avoid similar issues on future schedules.

Medium and short term planning
- Lead daily cross functional production meeting in the Plant to proactively identify and address schedule execution issues.
- Perform material availability checks and release work orders to production. Actively maintain the status of those workorders on the system and communicate delays.
- Review weekly production plans with Network Planning for each work center and recommend adjustments to future plans.
- Coordinate with Raw Material Planner on material availability issues that may impact the production schedule.
- Development, control and maintenance of the planning system ensuring data integrity & operational effeciency.
- Work closely with external business units, operations, logistics and procurement groups to deliver a best in class service.
- Coordinate the Contract Manufacturer Change Notification (CMCN) process for customer changes.

Follow up and communication
- Analyse and summarize scheduling data into effective business metrics.
- Ensure work orders status information is shared in all relevant departments.
- Follow up on backorder issues, and when required set up recovery plans.
- Keep daily contact with manufacturing and ensure they have required information to act according to plans in their daily work.

Work Experience Requirements
- Number of Overall Years Necessary: 2-5
- 2-5 years of Supply Chain Experience required, preferably in a Production Planner or Scheduler.
Education Requirements
- Describe the minimum education or training required to perform the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related discipline.
- APICS CPIM or other Supply Chain certification desired.
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:

Experienced user of SAP or other Tier 1 ERP system.
Understanding of production planning and scheduling execution processes in a batch managed environment.
Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
Strong Excel skills for data analysis.
