The Director of Human Resources is responsible for HR policies, and programs that align with the company's goals and values. This position is crucial in maintaining a positive work environment, fostering employee development, and ensuring compliance with HR regulations.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • HR Strategy and Policy: Work with the VP of HR to develop and implement HR strategies and policies that support the company's goals and maintain a positive work culture.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management processes, including feedback, evaluations, and goal setting.
  • Benefits Management: Oversee all US based benefits management functions including compliance, reporting, enrollment, offboarding and changes.
  • Compensation Management: Proactively manage compensation programs to ensure competitive and equitable compensation for employees.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations, ensuring  company compliance with federal, state, and local HR-related laws.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement programs to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, such as team-building activities and recognition initiatives.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Collect and analyze HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Payroll Management: directly manage the payroll specialist, oversee payroll

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or HR certification is a plus).
  • 10+ years of HR management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR regulations and compliance.
  • Full understanding of the way an organization operates to meet its objectives
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting within an HRIS, Rippling experience is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Experience in managing HR team members to include payroll and benefits administrative support.
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
  • Possess good judgement, good discernment skills. Ability to exercise high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Proven display of consistency, skills to triage & escalate when necessary, set a good example.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and systems.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
