Job Description
The Atlanta Office is seeking a Senior Process Treatment and Design Engineer, to support water and wastewater related design projects.
As the Senior Process Treatment and Design Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering design aspects related to water and wastewater treatment projects, while assisting with the management of the integration with other treatment design disciplines. The following aspects will be key:
- You will be responsible for process technology selection, concept, preliminary and detail designs for water and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) components
- The designs will include for process types selection based on evaluation of influent parameters and flows to satisfy the discharge limit requirements
- Designs will include for process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams
- The design components will consist of civil, hydraulic and mechanical aspects while guiding and informing the architectural, structural, electrical, I&C and environmental disciplines
- You will work closely with the cost estimators to determine the budgets required for the different components
- You will also be responsible for the development of drawings in collaboration with the drawing office staff for the different project stages in accordance with the project milestones
- As part of the detail design process you will be responsible for the selection of an appropriate construction delivery method in accordance with the client’s needs and preferences
- You will determine what specifications are required for civil, piping and process related equipment
- You will also liaise with the other disciplines to ensure that their specifications are aligned and prepared in accordance with the scope of works and prepared drawings
- You will be responsible for the compilation of the overall bid document including but not limited to, bid conditions, conditions of contract, including any special conditions of contract, detailing the scope of work, all project specifications and any specialist reports for the site and environmental mitigation actions
- Projects will be completed successfully within specifications and budget
- Client satisfaction and project delivery is an imperative of this position
- Your technical focus will be on water and wastewater related projects, but with the understanding that wastewater treatment will be the core delivery focus
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure deliverables to AECOM’s internal and external clients
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in conceptualizing and design water and wastewater treatment plant layouts and processes related to treatment.
- Proven experience with water and wastewater treatment design and the understanding of the roles of other disciplines.
Preferred Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical highly preferred
- 12 years of experience conceptualizing, and design water and wastewater treatment plant layouts and processes related to treatment.

Offered rate of compensation GA location only will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000.
