Job Description Summary:

Under the direction of the General Ledger Supervisor, the General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, assisting with month end and year end closing, preparation of labor analysis and other accounting support functions as assigned.

Job Description:

• Prepares and records monthly payroll journal entries
• Reconciles all payroll and fringe benefits related general accounts
• Reviews and analyzes all benefit invoices
• Reconciles other balance sheet accounts, as assigned
• Assists with the preparation of variance analysis reports and annual budget projections

Performs other reporting and analysis, including, benefits, payroll, reconciliations, funds reporting, as assigned

Additional Job Description:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred)

Experience:

• Two (2) or more years of experience in accounting or related field (required)
