Senior QA Process Specialist

The Senior QA Process Specialist works within the QA Center of Excellence to promote QA best practices across the AppDev organization. They will work alongside both business and technical team members to ensure the usability and functionality of products, services and systems. In addition to providing general guidance, the Senior QA Process Specialist may also work closely with specific project teams, in a consulting position, to ensure succesful QA outcomes. They will provide guidance on analyzing requirements and test case development, help build out test plans and test strategies and help interface with peer teams to identify, re-create and aid in the mitigation of any defects or anomalies found in the testing process. They will also consult on documenting all issues found in a defect tracking tool and reporting progress to management.
- Helps review requirements and specifications to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Helps create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Consults on estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating testing activities.
- Understands and can provide guidance on test standards and testing processes (i.e. SDLC, Agile).
- Collaborates with internal teams (i.e. developers, product managers, administrators) to identify new requirements to improve quality.
- Analyzes quality assurance metrics and creates test summary reports.
- Help create and review project dashboards periodically to ensure test status and timely defect resolution.
- Assist with the final go/no-go test execution report, ensuring accuracy and completion.
- Assist with loading test cases into a test case management tool.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent working experience.
- Knowledge of industry standards, quality control techniques and procedures.
- Excellent data analysis skills with strong problem solving ability.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and production technologies.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 21. $80,500 - $174,300
