As the Card Games Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of all card game activities during your assigned shift. This includes direct supervision of personnel, strategic planning for poker and table games, and ensuring the safeguarding of company assets. You will play a crucial role in maintaining regulatory compliance, identifying operational efficiencies, and cultivating a positive and productive team dynamic. This position requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Directly supervise and direct card department personnel, including determining work priorities, scheduling assignments, interviewing candidates, and recommending personnel actions. Evaluate, orient, counsel, and train subordinate staff, assisting with developmental training.
- Supervise the planning, implementation, and evaluation of poker and table games operations, coordinating programs with other departments.
- Ensure company funds and assets are properly safeguarded, and that accountability is accurately maintained and balanced.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements (CNGC, IRS).
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements to Senior Management.
- Develop and maintain the departmental operating budget for the fiscal year.
- Partner with Accounting and Operations Management to design and implement internal controls and guest service enhancements for new and existing game/venue offerings, promotions, events, and programs.
- Maintain all opening and closing paperwork and daily logs, ensuring consistency. Ensure equipment required for guest financial services (ATM, Check Cashing, Cash Advance, Ticket Redemption, etc.) is functioning as designed.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 5 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Well-developed money handling skills with a passion for order and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively.
- Proficient with basic office equipment, computers, and standard computer programs (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
