About the role
Job Summary:
This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Generalist position located in Colorado Springs, CO. The HR Generalist will oversee the employee experience, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and benefits administration. This is a great opportunity for an individual passionate about fostering an exceptional employee experience and implementing HR best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitors compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws as well as regulations from applicable agencies.
- Compiles and maintains personnel files, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
- Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
- Conducts new hire and onboarding processes, including review of company policies, processing of new hire paperwork and completion of orientation.
- Assists with the administration of employee benefits.
- Informs payroll department of any changes to employee status and monitors accuracy of payroll.
- Receives and addresses employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, and benefit plans.
- Responsible for initiating background check screening and conducting reference checks of candidates.
- Schedules and monitors various training programs.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and professional certifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
- Proficient with ADP.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Two or more years of related experience
Salary Note:
- In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is based on education, experience, and responsibilities.
