The Opportunity: 

We are the team behind Grafana k6, Grafana Cloud k6, and Grafana Cloud Synthetics, used by teams globally to ensure resilient, high-performing systems.  This opportunity is with the synthetics monitoring squad, who build and operate our synthetic monitoring product:  a mission-critical observability tool with thousands of users running billions of synthetic tests each month.

We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about communicating with data and providing seamless experiences for our customers to join our growing team! Our stack is Typescript + React (interacting with backends written in Golang), and our engineers work on a mix of Open Source + internal services. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be working primarily on Grafana Cloud’s synthetic monitoring application, and may get involved in adjacent projects like Grafana Cloud k6 and k6 studio. You’ll be: 

• Working with your team to deliver new features, measuring the impact of your work, and using the results to iterate and improve. 
• Leading and managing projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from the initial ideation and planning stages, through development and execution, to final delivery.
• Collaborating with product management and UX design functions to create a great user experience.
• Interacting directly with customers to collect feedback and understand their needs, then advocating for our customers at every stage of the development lifecycle. 
• Contribute actively to a positive team culture, fostering collaboration, psychological safety, and mutual respect.

As we are remote-first and our engineering organization is entirely remote, we provide guidance and meet regularly using video calls, so an independent attitude, good communication skills, and transparency are a must.

• Understanding of metrics collection, visualization, and alerting concepts
