About the Senior Associate, Marketplace Operations (BizOps) at Headspace Health:

Headspace Health exists to improve the health and happiness of the world, and we’re accelerating our capabilities in order to deliver on that mission. The Business Operations (BizOps) team at Headspace Health works on operational and strategic initiatives that enable scale, margins, and sustainable growth critical to improving access to mental health care. We’re looking to hire a Senior Associate to scale our marketplace operations to enable sustainable, effective, and efficient care delivery to our members. 

Reporting to the Director of Business Operations (BizOps), this candidate will lead initiatives in close cross-functional partnership to scale our ability to deliver care through innovative productization of our marketplace operations. As the marketplace operations lead in BizOps, the candidate will operate at the interface of Care Services, Care Operations, Product, Data Analytics, Commercial and Marketing to:

  • Own overall performance of the marketplace
  • Build systems / tools to balance provider supply against member demand, 
  • Optimize critical business levers
  • Drive marketplace initiatives to improve provider utilization sustainably.

  • Be the single point of expertise for marketplace and collaborate with Care Operations, Product, Commercial, Marketing, Care Services, Finance, and other stakeholders on key initiatives / OKRs that unlock marketplace performance, drive margins impact, and optimize unit economics
  • Own overall marketplace performance (supply and demand) including identifying key marketplace metrics, tracking performance against targets, and collaborating with key stakeholders to address gaps
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues within the marketplace, including supply and demand imbalances, and develop solutions to address opportunities
  • Lead problem-solving, conduct detailed data-driven analyses, and develop a strong understanding of business levers that maintain balance in the marketplace
  • Identify areas for process improvement and create first draft workflows that serve as blueprints for more scalable product solutions and processes
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to design and implement new features to improve the marketplace experience
  • Leverage deep functional knowledge, optimize data and reporting, create and manage KPIs, dashboards, forecasting models, and recommend business levers to act on
  • Build, track, and monitor performance dashboards to continuously share results with leadership, identify and resolve issues
  • Partner closely with leadership, Care team, Operations, Finance, and regulatory teams to design and launch new programs that improve care delivery and reduce total cost of care

 

What you’ve accomplished:

  • 3+ years of work experience in business operations, strategy, operations, high-growth startup, or related environment; 1+ years of experience managing teams and/or direct reports
  • You have demonstrated strong analytical skills with an aptitude to uncover insights to make informed recommendations
  • You are able to take ownership and drive projects in close collaboration with the Director of BizOps, Product, and other stakeholders of our marketplace system
  • You enjoy building cross-org relationships, can communicate effectively and empathetically, and are able to compassionately partner with diverse and cross-functional stakeholders
  • You are a results-oriented, resourceful, and reliable team player and capable of independently seeking information required to solve unstructured problems
  • Proficiency in Tableau, Looker, Google Workspace, Asana/Jira, and other work platforms is required; proficiency in SQL and other data analytics tools is good to have
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, supply chain management, mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, business or related discipline required
  • Great to have but not required
    • Experience in digital health, telehealth, and/or mental health
    • Experience working in or with an operations team
    • Experience on marketplace, operations management, and related projects
    • Master’s is a plus but not required
