Summary
The Senior Analyst - Port Operations Support plays a critical role in supporting and advancing the analytical, operational, and strategic objectives of the Port Operations department, This role requires a high level of analytical acumen, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration. They will evaluate port processor communications, analyze operational data, ensure accuracy in billing and inventory, and provide insights that drive efficiency and decision-making. The position also supports executive reporting, high-level project initiatives, and the development of tools that improve process visibility and performance.
Responsibilities
• Data Analysis & Reporting
◦ Analyze all port processor communications including reports and performance data
◦ Compile and distribute accurate inventory and status reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly)
◦ Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentation that support Port Operations goals and executive meetings
◦ Develop analytical tools and KPIs to monitor operational efficiency, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements
◦ Prepare Dwell Status and trend analysis
◦ Assist with audit and reconciliation of backup data to ensure billing and vehicle processing accuracy
◦ Project Support & Strategic Planning
◦ Provide analytical and administrative support for high-level projects initiated by department leadership
◦ Research and compile background and summary documentation for cross-functional and executive-level initiatives
◦ Collaborate with management on current operational issues and provide data-driven recommendations for resolution
◦ Monitor changes in operations trends and proactively suggest process adjustments or strategic interventions
◦ Administrative & Ad Hoc duties
◦ Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and documentation to support departmental planning and compliance
◦ Participate in department meetings, provide analytical input, and follow through on action items
• Collaboration & Communication
◦ Support internal teams and cross-department stakeholders by translating operational data into actionable insights
◦ Coordinate with port processors and external vendors as needed to clarify discrepancies or align on deliverables
◦ Assist supervisor and/or manager with research, benchmarking, and scenario analysis for executive-level reporting
◦ Present findings in a clear, concise, and professional manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
◦ Other duties as assigned
Compensation
$58,000-$63,000/Annually (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Preferred
Education & Experience
• High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
• Bachelors Degree Preferred
• 3 - 5 Years of Experience in Operations or Logistics Required
• 4 - 7 Yea
