Your Impact

You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and high quality production of Axon products through the coordination of Manufacturing Bills of Materials.  You will partner with Manufacturing Area Leads, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing  Manager in order to meet daily and monthly  goals.  In addition, you will work with Manufacturing Engineering, Development Engineering and Manufacturing to develop and implement Manufacturing Bills of Materials that support the manufacturing processes from beginning to end.

What You’ll Do 

Location: Onsite at our Scottsdale, AZ office

Reports to: Sr Manager, Manufacturing Control & MBOM

Direct Reports: None

  • Work collaboratively with manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, planning, and development engineering
  • Create, Process, and Maintain multi-level Manufacturing BOMs (MBOMs) utilizing company’s ERP system (Microsoft D365)
  • Coordinate cut over activities to phase in new BOM Revisions per Configuration Management and calculate effectivity dates and approaches to consume or purge previous revisions inventory.
  • Understand cost impact of changing BOMs and Items as well as impact on production use, inventory values, variances and COGS.
  • Facilitate any discussions that are required to resolve issues relating to BOM and Item creation and maintenance
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements as related to Manufacturing projects.
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Lead and/or participate in Operations projects aimed to decrease cost, increase efficiency, and improve production goals, and employee experience.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or other related field or equivalent years of experience 
  • Three to five (3-5) years relevant experience in manufacturing, new product introduction, or materials management
  • Experience in materials management, materials planning, and production control
  • Working knowledge of bill of material structures and ERP systems
  • Understanding of how the enterprise system tools and components (PLM/PDM, ERP, rapid planning, work orders, MES, production orders, etc.) work together and function
  • Ability to stand for upwards of 8 hours a day; as well as lift, carry, move packages and materials up-to-50 lbs on a regular basis; with or without special accommodations, is required
  • Strong Own It mentality to deliver tasks, actions and results with moderate guidance and direction
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to Join Forces will all levels of employees and providing routine advice.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 49,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 81,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 53,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 88,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
