Let's start with the role

As our Senior Risk Manager you will be responsible for developing, overseeing and managing risk management processes and strategies. You will provide guidance and support in risk assessment and decision-making processes. Your role is to navigate the complex landscape of risk in a fast-paced industry, anticipating potential threats and crafting solutions to mitigate them.

As a Senior Risk Manager, you will:

• Lead efforts to identify, assess and prioritize risks across the business; 
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate potential impacts and likelihood of occurrence;
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize exposure and ensure the resilience;
• Craft and maintain risk management policies, procedures and frameworks in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements;
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies pertaining to risk management practices;
• Communicate effectively with senior management, board members and other stakeholders to provide insights into the organisation’s risk profile and facilitate informed decision-making;
• Establish robust monitoring mechanisms to track and report on key risk indicators, emerging risks and changes in the risk landscape;
• Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports to senior management and board members;
• Recruit, train and manage the risk management team;
• Foster a strong risk-aware culture throughout the organisation by providing training, guidance and support;
• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as finance, internal audit, compliance and information security to integrate risk management practices into business processes and decision-making;
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management processes and systems;
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices and emerging risks through participation in professional networks and industry forums.

What you’ll bring

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, especially in the gaming industry;
• A minimum of 5 years of proven work experience in risk management;
• A bachelor’s degree in management, risk management, or a related field;
• Professional certifications which demonstrate a commitment to the field of risk management;
• Proficiency in relevant risk management tools and software;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• An ability to assess complex risks and develop effective mitigation strategies;
• Ability to be self-motivated and take ownership in a dynamic environment with a positive, ‘can-do’ mindset;
• Team player, strong communicator, advocate for continuous improvement;
• Ability to work cross-functionally and internationally with internal/external stakeholders;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
