This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run January-August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2026.
What You Will Do:
- Support various Supplier Quality Engineering tasks across Civil Space while gaining practical experience in the field
- Work on process improvement projects related to Supplier Quality, addressing and solving real-world challenges
- Collaborate with different Supplier Quality Engineers and cross-functional teams to understand and contribute to their efforts
- Assist in addressing supplier-related issues and implementing improvements
- Participate in training sessions and events to enhance your knowledge and skills in Supplier Quality
- Engage in assignments that may extend through multiple terms, providing ongoing opportunities for growth and learning until your graduation
What You Will Learn:
Interns and co-ops at Collins Aerospace work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business. We’re looking for students with an engineer’s curiosity, an explorer’s heart, and a perfectionist’s grit to help us build the future of aerospace.
This role will expose you to the quality and manufacturing processes used in the Aerospace Industry, specifically:
- Learn and support non-conforming material reviews and develop recommendations for corrective actions
- Support investigation into supplier-caused nonconforming material and identify improvement opportunities.
- Learn how to validate supplier-provided non-conforming products
- Utilize data from Collins Aerospace databases to present continuous improvement opportunities and reduce supplier-caused nonconformances
- Understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing to work with suppliers on quality and operational improvements.
- Learn the fundamentals of supplier audits/assessments (QMS, Manufacturing Process Reviews, etc.).

Qualifications You Must Have
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM); preferably mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
- Real passion for learning and pursuing a career in aerospace
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in data analysis and statistical modelling
- Basic understanding of interpreting CAD drawings
