Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compliance-focused professional to join our Quality Control team as a QC Microbiology Sampler In this role, you will be responsible for performing critical environmental and utility monitoring within GMP-regulated cleanrooms and classified areas to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and controlled manufacturing areas.
- Perform sampling of high-purity water, clean steam, and compressed gas systems.
- Handle and document samples in accordance with established procedures and GMP requirements.
- Maintain accurate records using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Support laboratory operations by managing inventory of supplies, media, and reagents.
- Operate autoclaves, clean controlled temperature units, and perform general lab support tasks.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations as required.
- Contribute to the training and onboarding of new team members.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field
- Basic understanding of microorganisms, contamination risks, and aseptic techniques
- Strong attention to detail with clear written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work well both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and open to learning new techniques and responsibilities
- Capable of managing multiple tasks, maintaining accurate records, and following standard procedures
- Proficient with computers and comfortable using scientific tools and software
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Hands-on experience with environmental monitoring in cleanroom or GMP settings
- Familiarity with cGMP regulations and documentation practices
- Experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
Important Information
This position is an indoor lab-based position working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:
- No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans etc) are permitted and must be removed before entry
- Nails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)
- No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)
- Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet, and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.
Ability to meet physical demands, including, but not limited to, routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs or more, walking and standing for extended periods,
