Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Software Logistics Specialist to support the Centralized Acquisition and License Management program for a U.S. Navy customer. The candidate will be responsible for facilitating the completion of lifecycle processes for software licensing and maintenance from requirements definition through acquisition. This position ensures the customer’s ability to respond to critical warfighter software requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of the United States.
  • Previous experience working with the NAVAIR customer.
  • Ability to Identify and Implement necessary software to coordinate and improve the supply chain process, adding organization and efficiency to the product life cycle Including procurement, Inventory, and other planning activities.
  • Have technical experience and demonstrated thought leadership in applying at least one of the following in DoD acquisitions:

- DevSecOps or software factories

- Agile software methodologies

- Digital engineering

- DoD contract and financial planning and integrated performance management

  • Experience applying the DoD Software Acquisition Pathway (DoDI 5000.87), Middle Tier of Acquisition (MTA) strategies, or other accelerated/innovative acquisition approaches for software-enabled capabilities.
  • Collaborative problem solver and negotiator who can facilitate team members and customers with disparate viewpoints to a positive resolution.
  • User-focused communicator who can read a room and adapt your communication style to meet people where they are.
  • Communicate articulately and are adept at conveying complex topics to diverse audiences, including non-technical experts.
  • Work confidently on diverse problems with multiple factors that require analysis, innovation, creativity, and evaluation.
  • Experience creating case studies, conducting data analysis, synthesizing these and/or other methods to support evidence-driven decision-making, and effectively communicating results.
  • Deliver high-quality work and care about the impact of your work.
  • Must have the ability to work on-site In Lexington Park, Maryland USA (NAS- Pax River).
