The IT Operations Associate Manager is responsible for ensuring alignment within IT Department operations with organizational business objectives as documented and communicated by the IT Operations Manager. S/he plans, coordinates, and assists the manager with IT-related organizational activities as well as providing administrative/technical direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. This individual works closely with peer managers providing administrative support and information about the operations of the department in strategic growth and expansion of the organization. The IT Operations Associate Manager recognizes staff results through effective communication of job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Responsibilities Develop, manage, and coordinate, IT daily activities and operations in a results-driven fashion.
  • Manage and guide staff through effective communication of job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees with IT Operations Manager.
  • Provide administrative support and information about department operations to the IT Ops Mgr.
  • Work effectively with CIT managers and other leaders to align and streamline IT department operations with organizational business objectives.
  • Oversee and identify improvement opportunities and demonstrate the ability to implement them.
  • Manage Technical Support Specialists and other resources in the delivery of the IT service portfolio in a specific geography.
  • Manage the moves, adds, and changes along with the acquisition activities of the organization.
  • Manage and implement the realignment, communication, and implementation of departmental changes and direction as new organizational initiatives are developed and implemented.
  • Formulate and maintain a long-term strategic plan for acquiring and operating efficient and effective information-processing applications, technologies, and communications infrastructures.
  • Develop and maintain a service portfolio plan, including enhancements, replacement, and support of hardware and software systems.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a sourcing strategy for IT assets, including application software, technical assets, and IT-related physical infrastructure.
  • Manage IT department operations, including allocation of resources.
  • Maintain planned and active IT projects to include business requirements, work plans, planned delivery milestones, allocated resources, and issues, with regular status reporting status to senior management.
  • Manage and review budgets for IT Operational capital and expense items, ensuring that they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives.
  • Review IT support delivery performance to determine whether operating costs, productivity levels, and SLA requirements are met.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report, and recommend improvements to IT operational delivery processes.
  • Authorize and oversee the development, deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and ongoing support of all hardware and software based on company needs.
  • Provision oversight of team members' services, including help desk and technical support services.
  • Develop and implement all IT operational policies and procedures, including those for standards, purchasing, and service provision.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with senior management, cross-functional department heads, and team members regarding IT support activities.
  • Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Information Technology and Information Systems preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology management experience.
  • Ability to learn and embrace new technologies and processes.
