Registered Nurse/Surgery PRN $43.60

Description

PRN (hourly) RN position responsible for the organization and evaluation of direct nursing care for a specific assignment. Surgery schedule is Monday through Friday, varied hours (no weekends or holidays, no call required),

$43.60 per hour with only those benefits required by law.

Requirements

Requirements: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited learning institution. Minimum of three years work experience in direct nursing care is preferred.

Pre-Employment Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge, skill and understanding of nurse role in a surgical setting.

• Advanced skill in patient safety in surgery setting; assume role as patient advocate.

• Advanced skill in clinical judgement, observation, knowledge and assessments with the ability to foresee needs that are essential to the success of the operation/surgery.

• Demonstrated ability to recognize and respond to opportunities for improvement through continual learning, changes in approach based on situation and professional practice behavior.

• Ability to operate general office equipment including computer software applications (e-mail, scheduling software, electronic health records, etc.)

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Exhibits professionalism in completing the circulating nurse role.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees and administration.
