About the role:
As a Customer Solutions intern you will support the AP1000 Customer Solutions department staff in understanding customer needs and helping to draft proposals for engineering improvements to the AP1000® Plant design.
You will report to the AP1000 Director and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid full-time hybrid summer position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Collect engineering improvements and optimizations
- Support engineering activities to aggregate product financials and regular financial forecasting
- Support engineering activities to develop resource demand signal for engineering and manufacturing
- Support project teams to understand status of projects, supporting resolution of challenges during project execution
- Assist in classifying intellectual property (IP) and evaluating the risk of release to external partners (e.g., customers, 3rd parties)
- Collaborate with global product management on product strategy, product roadmaps, technology roadmaps, and innovation ideas
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Complete Sophomore year of college
- Experience with MathCad, MATLAB, or VBA
- Familiarity with the nuclear power plant designs for operating PWR and BWRs or advanced reactors or AP1000
- No relocation assistance provided
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
