Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist, Executive Education - Boca Raton, FL
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for the Office of Executive Education, managing daily front office operations and providing high-level administrative and event support. This position interacts frequently with students, faculty, staff, and university administrators, as well as with external corporate partners and community members. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the front office lead, handling daily opening and closing procedures, phone and in-person inquiries, mail distribution, and general office coordination.
Act as a liaison between Executive Education and internal/external stakeholders, delivering timely and professional communication.
Coordinate logistics for Executive Education and Corporate Training events, including catering, room reservations, supplies, and on-site support.
Manage purchase orders, invoices, and departmental payments, coordinate travel arrangements and process authorizations and expense reports in Workday.
Serve as a Workday delegate for administrative processes.
Maintain office supply inventory and order as needed; submit equipment and maintenance service requests.
Oversee classroom and conference room scheduling and usage.
Support directors and coordinators with calendar management, meeting scheduling, and project execution.
Keep reception and front desk area organized, professional, and up to date with relevant materials and promotional displays.
Deliver information to students and clients with clarity, patience, and a customer-first attitude.
Take ownership of special projects and assignments as needed.
Performs special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution and two years of administrative experience required.Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Experience with Workday or similar ERP systems.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience supporting event coordination or executive-level administrators.
Salary:
$19.15 - $21.55 per hour.College or Department:
