(Senior) Software Engineer

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a (Senior) Software Engineer to reinforce our Software Systems team in Manassas, VA! In this role, you will be joining our team that develops and maintains the Ground Control System (GCS), that commands and controls our fleet of over 70 satellites.

Your mission is to work on the UI/UX side of our GCS platform, when it comes to designing, implementing and maintaining front-end applications. In this role, you will be working closely with our satellite engineers and enabling their operations.

You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):

• Design, implement and maintain web-based front-end applications
• Contribute to design, implementation, refactoring and UI/UX enhacements to satisfy end-user requirements
• Participate in the design of back-end applications to ensure a solid integration with your front-end development work
• Drive cloud-nativeness in existing and new applications with Kubernetes/Helm
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions

 

YOUR PROFILE

1. Must have 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
• Minimum 5 years' of industry experience
• Solid knowledge of common front-end frameworks and languages, such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Vue or React
• General understanding of common programming languages, such as C, C++, Java, Go or Python
• Experience with revision controls tools (Git) and code review process

 

2.    Nice to Have

• Experience with CESIUM geopresentation package, DevExpress or LightningChart

GOOD TO KNOW

The base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000.00 - $154,000.00 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target salary for new hires in Washington, DC Metro Area. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
