Position Title: Marketing Automation Manager

Reports To: Brand Director

General Purpose

The Marketing Automation Manager is responsible for the execution of the company’s email outreach, SMS outreach, and JH Insider app pushes, as well as the comprehensive analysis of data and industry trends, with the ultimate goal of leveraging customer insights and segmentation to drive conversion across all mountain profit centers while fostering meaningful storytelling and community connection.

 

Job Duties:

Guest Segmentation

• Ensure targeted guest messaging shares a consistent voice and presentation specific to each of the primary customer segments: Local, Core, Snow Chasers, Adventure Families, Domestic Destination Travelers, International Destination Travelers and Luxury Travelers.
• Utilize data to continuously improve the process, messaging and outcome.

• Work internally and with technology vendors to ensure accurate data capture and segmentation.

Email Marketing

• Design emails using Acoustic software, in partnership with Inntopia’s Marketing Cloud CRM management as well as Snowcloud software. Very strong copywriting skills are essential, in addition to a creative vision for each email. Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop or a similar creative software is also essential.
• Develop and maintain a regular cadence of outreach to the primary audience segments. Tailor email content to specifically suit each segment to drive engagement and revenue.
• Analyze ecommerce- and email-related data metrics and reports to determine effectiveness of email marketing campaigns and constantly strive to improve upon prior results.
• Develop and maintain all automated email campaigns, including pre-arrival, post-departure, as well as general promotions. Work with internal stakeholders like Mountain Sports School, F&B, Rental and Retail, and Jackson Hole Resort Lodging to create emails that accurately reflect their communication needs.
• Be JHMR’s automated marketing subject matter expert. Stay current on industry trends.
• Manage relationships with external tech agencies and partners to effectively execute common goals and maintain successful partnerships.
• Develop messaging templates designed to drive increased engagement for all segments and encourage progression through the customer lifecycle.

SMS Marketing

• Grow and maintain health of the SMS database.
• Develop and maintain strategy for engagement with guests.
• Leverage our SMS platform’s functions to accomplish outreach goals.

JH Insider App Push Notifications

• Understand audience segmentation within the app & plan best cadence for email/SMS/push.
• Frequent promotional pushes for mountain safety and news, as well as profit center promotions.
• Set up automated pushes for pre-arrival/post-departure.

CRM Database

• Spearhead Medallia survey integration with key platforms to centralize guest feedback, unlock actionable insights, and translate Net Promoter Score trends into data-driven decisions that enhance the guest experience, strengthen loyalty, and drive performance across all profit centers.
• Development and execution of plans to grow and nurture a strong and engaged email database.
• Ensure all internal software solutions are synchronized and data is current and accessible.
