Job Description:

As the Restaurant Manager at Trillium, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of our fine dining establishment. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, managing a team of dedicated staff, and maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

• Provide strong leadership to the restaurant team leading by example and demonstrating effective communication.
• Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure they deliver exceptional service and adhere to company standards and training benchmarks.
• Schedule and manage staff effectively to meet operational needs while controlling labor costs.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance staff performance and development.
• Maintain a positive environment that motivates and empowers teamwork and passion. 

Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, room- service, and guest interactions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment.
• Manage inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
• Work closely with the culinary team and collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director to maintain menu quality, consistency, and innovation.

Guest Experience:

• Strive to exceed guest expectations by providing personalized and attentive service including serving, hosting, or bussing when needed.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner, seeking to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
• Monitor and evaluate guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Maintain a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere, ensuring guests feel valued and appreciated.

Financial Management:

• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, minimize costs, and achieve financial targets.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Aloha or similar POS systems preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
• Certification in food safety and/or hospitality management is a plus.
