About the role

Location: Remote (For Non-Local) or Hybrid (Local to NYC area)

Position Overview:

Under the leadership of the Licensing Manager, the Senior Licensing Specialist is responsible for helping prepare and file Capital Rx’s state and local licensing and registration, renewals, change notifications, and related reporting. This individual will work cross-functionally to submit accurate and timely deliverables to various regulatory bodies throughout the United States.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Help manage the myriad responsibilities associated with maintaining pharmacy benefit management (PBM) and third-party medical claim administration (TPA) licenses in good standing as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Interpret legal and regulatory requirements relating to licensure reporting and business registration and work cross-functionally to obtain all required data for timely submission to regulatory bodies.
  • Perform operational functions relating to licensure, reporting, business registrations, research, administrative support, and additional projects as required.
  • Assist in the development of policy and procedures relating to licensure, registration, and reporting submissions.
  • Maintaining an updated licensing database and organizing other electronic files.
  • Supervise the collection of information required by audits and market conduct examinations.
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships to aid the continued growth and effectiveness of the Licensing Department.
  • Responsible for the adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) license preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in PBM, TPA, and URA Licensing Programs or equivalent licensing experience in a healthcare industry
  • Familiarity with State Departments of Insurance and Secretaries of State offices
  • Successful management of licensing timelines and deliverables
  • Familiarity with legal research and regulatory interpretation
  • Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Track record of building strong, collaborative relationships
  • Track record of timely executing on deliverables
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to shift priorities easily
  • Attention to detail & commitment to delivering high quality work product
  • Ability to competently and discretely handle confidential and other sensitive information

Base Salary: $70,000 - $100,000
