Position Summary

This position is responsible for managing a complex portfolio of programs and projects that drive digital innovation and operational excellence across the university. The role ensures the successful execution of multiple high-impact initiatives, including the operationalization of AI-driven platforms, and operationalization support. By facilitating team collaboration, refining workflows, and providing strategic guidance, this position enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of the Digital Solutions Studio (DSS). Additionally, the role fosters relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supports leadership through reporting and analysis, and contributes to the continuous improvement of processes that align with institutional priorities.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages a portfolio of projects that include leaders and senior personnel from across the university. Coordinates and supports approximately eight simultaneous projects.
  • Oversees multiple programs including operationalizing AI tools, supporting commercialization efforts, and developing CRM systems to track and document DI2’s engagements and relationships.
  • Advises DSS Director on operational concerns and serves as the communications liaison among the various DSS projects.
  • Assists the DSS Director with setting strategy and defining process and workflows for DSS.
  • Organize and lead weekly DSS team meetings, leading demos, providing updates on projects, DI2 initiatives, and facilitating alignment on priorities.
  • Prepares reports, analyzes, and iterates on current reporting systems and formats.
  • Participates in project review meetings with project stakeholders, internally with DI2 team, and as requested with other leadership.
  • Drafts DSS updates for marketing team and reports to leadership from data captured in Smartsheet system.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders & partners across WashU to facilitate collaboration and efficient utilization of WashU resources and expertise.
  • Fosters long-term relationships with external vendors, supporting smoother project execution and better resource utilization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range

$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
