Your Role
In this pivotal role on our Blood Pressure Cuffs team within the Manufacturing department, you will work collaboratively with Supervisors and Materials Planning to prioritize work to ensure that customer deliveries are achieved, and that production plans are successfully executed. As the Group Leader, you will take the lead and give direction to a group of operators, support cuff operations in order to maximize output with limited waste and execute processes in a safe and quality driven manner. You will be the first level of escalation to resolve production issues and ensure tasks are met.
Additionally, you will set-up, run and maintain the automated machines within the Cuff Department. You must have a high level of mechanical skills with the capability to use root cause analysis to troubleshoot machining issues to diagnose and fix issues that arise with a high sense of urgency to achieve departmental goals.
What You'll Be Doing
Cultivate a collaborative environment while interacting and motivating a team of operators to achieve People/Quality/Delivery/Cost objectives.
Serve as a liaison between the employees and the supervisor, by escalating concerns and issues, as needed.
Ensure training and cross training on accurate procedures and operations of tools to develop operators and maintain flexibility.
Successfully complete training modules and ensures others are completing necessary training as required, as well.
Perform scrap transactions using a computer (SAP).
Set-up, run and maintain the automated machines in the Cuff Department
Read and follow drawings and other related instructional and quality documents related to the product
Operate Calibrated Leak Testing Equipment, plus use calipers and other measuring devices
Perform routine assembly operations like folding, labeling and boxing product.
Use SAP, HMI controls &/or PC software to keep the machines operational.
Diagnose, fix, or get technical support to take care of faulty operations and/or equipment malfunctions.
Offer suggestions for improvements, help to resolve manufacturing issues, and monitor production for manufacturing results.
You may package component parts or assemblies for shipment, ensuring protection from potential shipment damage and that all vital parts and instructions are present.
