The Driver Warehouse Deliver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a light truck and/or van on a daily established route, and for the delivery of materials, supplies and equipment to various location throughout the school district. Work involves unloading the vehicle and using manual and mechanical lifting devices. Assignments usually receive in the form of oral or written instructions. Work performed under general supervision and reviewed through observations completed delivery logs, and evaluation of results obtained.

Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.

Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a light truck and/or van with a lift platform and delivers materials, supplies, and equipment to school campuses and other building and facilities in the school district
- Load and unload material, supplies and equipment such as desks and office equipment, office supplies, books and printed materials, and custodial supplies; uses manual and mechanical lifting devices and hand-operated dollies
- Keep vehicle in good working order; schedules preventive maintenance; checks vehicle equipment for safe and proper operation; report any problems to proper authority
- Work closely with campus personnel and supervisor in establishing delivery routes and schedules

- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Drivers License

Additional Information
- Work involves driving a light truck and/or van. Require sufficient and dexterity to perform all essential functions of the position including lifting and carrying materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling hand-dollies with loads up to 300 pounds, reaching in front of body and overhead while carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, and operating equipment and vehicles. Work also requires frequent sitting, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
