As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Real Estate | Planning, Design, and Construction team completes projects on-time and on-budget for the UCLA Health System. Your role will focus on overseeing construction management within the Hospitals and Medical Office Buildings throughout Los Angeles County. Primary duties include:
• Assist with communication between general contractor and UCLA Health clients.
• Prepare and review all HCAI documentation.
• Review schedules, requests for information, submittals, change order requests, payment applications, etc.
• Prepare for inspector visits.
• Support move planning, logistics, installation, and licensing.
• Independently manage smaller design and construction projects.
• Oversee project reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

The full hourly salary range for this position is $36.49 - $76.05. Please note – the department’s target pay range is $37.00 - $46.00/hour.
Job Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of experience in construction.
• AutoCAD and/or Revit experience, preferred.
• Ability to analyze data and create accurate spreadsheets, graphs, and charts for management report.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Bluebeam, preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes, UCLA standards, and accessibility regulations, preferred.
• Familiarity with California Building Code, Title 22, and HCAI (OSHPD) requirements, preferred.
• Ability to organize and facilitate projects.
• Ability to interpret legal and technical documents.
