Job Description

The  Radiation Oncology Data Analyst reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

  • The focus of this position is to act as a major participant of data collection from various radiation Oncology applications and assist in management efforts to analyze data to help guide the radiation oncology program, optimize clinical workflows and improve patient outcomes.
  • The position will also be shared with Living Well with additional responsibilities to maintain and adapt their data collection efforts and analysis in the effort to support management decisions and improve program outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Radiation Oncology Responsibilities:
    • Utilizes talents, skills and knowledge in all assignments for the purpose of delivering excellent customer service with specific focus on the various applications that reside in the departments of Radiation Oncology.  Guides preparation and delivery of services by seeking a thorough understanding of customer mission, goals, and values.
    • Understands the business and clinical processes within the departments of Radiation Oncology, including the operational environments of assigned customers.  Advocates the effective use of information systems to improve patient care through high quality, cost effective solutions.
    • Responds thoroughly and promptly to customer needs as defined in conjunction with our customers with guidance and prioritization of the management team.  “Owns” customer relationships and follows issues through to closure.  Adapts well to rapid change in case of multiple priorities.  Seeks to improve talents and skills consistent with overall radiation oncology strategy.
    • Maintains solid technical competence for assigned customer systems including Mosiaq, IMS, treatment planning systems and custom built software, while grasping the integration and interaction of all supported systems.  Consistently manages technology in light of how customer goals are served by the technology.
    • Communicates clearly, responsively, and purposely with customers and team members.  Focuses on radiation oncology team success and promotes collaborative efforts with others, especially the cooperate IT group.  Shifts easily among different technical and project roles as required by situation.
  • Living Well Responsibilities:
    • Serve as site administrator for LivingWell’s participant data base Efforts to Outcomes aka (ETO). Provide direction, training, tracking and oversight for participant data collection policies and procedures.
    • Conduct monthly data audits to identify discrepancies to ensure accuracy of statistical reporting.
    • Create and disseminate statistical participant data reports as requested by leadership which includes: board level dashboard, management and utilization reports, cancer committee reports and business review reports.
    • Work collaboratively with the foundation development team by providing program and service related statistical data as needed for grants, major gift proposals and follow up reports.
    • Create and provide monthly utilization metrics for all programs.  Identify program trends and participate in the determination of core programming that supports the strategic initiatives of Living Well Cancer Resource Center.
    • Assist in the development and execution of process and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Create and provide monthly outcomes and staff productivity reports.
    • Create and provide monthly/quarterly/annual statistically comp reports, establish benchmarking and provide recommendations to reduce redundancies and improve efficiencies.
    • Identify growth opportunities and attendance trends to maximize utilization for programs on LivingWell campus and at hospital partner sites.
    • Input and compile results of satisfaction surveys; disseminate outcomes to program and leadership staff.  
    • Create case for support to continue with expansion efforts.
