Schedule: Monday to Friday; Onsite; 8:00am to 5:00pm.  

Department: CMC-GMP 

Reports to: MSAT Manager 

Supervisory responsibilities: No 

Location: 13203 Murphy Rd. Stafford, TX 77477 

 

Position Summary/objective: 

The primary purpose of the Senior MSAT Associate is to facilitate the transition of technology (processes, reagents/supplies, equipment) between Process Development (research) and GMP Manufacturing (clinical).   The Senior MSAT associate is able to analyze documents, processes, equipment, and supplies for GMP manufacturing readiness.  The Senior MSAT associate utilizes technical skills and knowledge-based expertise to perform specialized cell manipulation and perform analytical tests within time-sensitive deadlines. 

 

Essential functions: 

  • Excellent general lab skills 

  • Proficient in standard cell culture procedures including processing and calculations.  

  • Understands study design and is able to follow and give instructions in executing experiments and analytical tests  

  • Performs procedures and maintains accurate documentation in compliance with SOPs and appropriate federal and local regulations 

  • Strong hands-on skills in immunological, biochemical, and molecular techniques including flow cytometry, ELISAs, and/or qPCR   

  • Ability to interpret and communicate results of experiment  

  • Ability to write study plans, reports, batch records, work instructions, and standard operating procedures as directed 

 

Secondary functions: 

  • Assists in troubleshooting technical, mechanical and scientific problems 

  • Assists training employees on assigned equipment or assays 

  • Proficient in handling complex experiments and multiple tasks with minimal supervision 

  • Understand the goals and objectives of the studies 

  • Review of equipment, supplies, documents to ensure compliance with internal procedures 

  • Participate in and prepare for interdepartmental collaborations (vendor qualifications, supply use and  specifications, equipment operation)
