About the role

We are looking for Engineering Manager who can drive business impact and technical excellence of Appfire products. You’ll run a team of software engineers within Acceleration or Core streams, responsible for one or multiple products like BigPicture Enterprise - Strategic Management for Jira by Appfire Platinum Marketplace Partner, 7pace Timetracker for Jira, Advanced Tables for Confluence, Jira Misc Workflow Extensions (JMWE) and more!

• Have a proven track record of connecting engineering strategy to business outcomes (revenue, retention, or cost reduction),

• Demonstrate strong technical judgment and the ability to articulate pragmatic trade-offs (speed vs. stability, build vs. buy, consistency vs. availability),

• Are passionate about cross-functional influence (Product, Design, Marketing, Finance) and developing team talent,

• Exhibit a calm, principled approach to risk management and incident resolution,

You will have a major impact on the products' short- and long-term roadmap, be responsible for technical decisions, career development of the team members and work priorities.

You will lead a team of outstanding engineers, own the technical roadmap, and be responsible for driving continuous improvement in our delivery process, technical health, and team dynamics.

• Strategic & Business Alignment:

  • Lead the team in delivering customer value.

  • Articulate a long-term technical vision for the product.

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Design to shape the future of the product.

• Technical & Architectural Leadership:

  • Apply technical literacy and judgment to guide the team on system complexity, scalability and reliability.

  • Instill habits and practices to manage security, privacy, performance, cost.

  • Drive improvements in observability, incidents prevention and response processes.

• Delivery & Operational Excellence:

  • Improve delivery predictability, remove friction points from the development process.
