• Responsibilities. Responsible for designing, developing and implementing microservices using java technology. Employ understanding of microservices architecture and principles and extensive experience in developing scalable applications to ensure our software solutions are efficient, robust and maintainable. Develop high-quality, scalable and secure code, integrate software components and third-party programs and test and deploy applications. Provide technical leadership, participate in architectural design decisions, and guide/mentor junior developers. Work within a Scrum team to develop software designs that will be used for new and improved web applications. Work with clients, product managers, architects, and software engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement impactful software solutions that support companies with one to millions of employees. Participate in a Scrum call to prioritize and track work and to choose user stories to work within a sprint cycle. Leverage his experience working with front-end, scripting, and back-end technologies and code complexities to design, develop, debug, and deploy software solutions. Choose user stories through prioritization, work within a team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities in an Agile environment. Participate in other Agile ceremonies, including scheduled sprint demos, sprint planning, daily stand-up, sprint review and sprint retrospective.

 

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of related experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and five (5) years of related experience.
• Work Experience. Five (5) years of experience must include: Java; Microservices; Spring Boot and Spring Data; JPA, Java Restful Services and other Java Frameworks; Linux; Shell Scripting; Docker, Kubernetes or other containerization technologies; AWS Cloud; Developing/deploying applications using services, including EKS, EC2, Load Balancers, S3, NoSQL Databases (DynamoDB, Mongo), RDBMS (Postgres), EFS, AWS Fargate, Cloud Front, ECS, and ECR; Workflow orchestration framework; Orkes Conductor workflow orchestration framework; IntelliJ Idea; Event-driven architecture; SNS/SQS Topic and Queues message delivery platform; Applied Domain-driven design and bounded contexts.
