About the role
Description
MRIoA is a national Independent Review Organization, who facilitates the review of medical claims to determine treatment appropriateness.
- General Orthopedic Surgeons, as well as those with fellowship training in Spine, Shoulder and Elbow or Hip and Knee.
- New Mexico or Minnesota medical license is required.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
- Review Prior Authorizations for treatment by applying nationally accepted medical and healthcare plan guidelines and provide expert, unbiased assessments while ensuring compliance with ERISA/DOL and state regulations.
- Flexibility – work as little as 1-2 hours per week (with no minimum requirement). Most cases take 30-60 minutes to complete.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Work remotely from anywhere in the US (Per HIPPA Regulations patient records cannot leave the US.)

Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Must be Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Spine, Shoulder & Elbow, and/or Hip & Knee
- Must have 5 years of patient care experience in Orthopedic Surgery
- Must have an unrestricted New Mexico or Minnesota state medical license
- Must be a US Citizen or hold a Green Card

Work Environment:
