Description
We’re seeking a highly skilled IT Help Desk Manager on a contract basis to lead and enhance our technical support capabilities.
What You’ll Do:
As an independent contractor, you’ll oversee and manage our IT help desk services to ensure efficient resolution of technical issues and continuous improvement in service delivery. Your responsibilities will include leading the help desk team, monitoring performance, optimizing workflows, and addressing escalated technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the help desk team to deliver outstanding technical support.
- Manage the ticketing system to track, resolve, and document IT issues effectively.
- Monitor service metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex or critical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align support services with organizational goals.
- Provide recommendations on technology, tools, and resources to improve IT service delivery.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience (3+ years) managing help desk operations or technical support teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in help desk systems and tools (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively as a contractor.
- IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+) are a plus but not required.
Contract Details:
- Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
- Hours: As needed, with a maximum of 5 hours per week with potential for more hours if available and interested
- Billing: Hourly rate, based on experience
