About the role

The Fronius USA Field Sales Representative (FSR) is both an independent sales representative and team player with a strong connection to the trade of welding and technology in general. An FSR is responsible for implementing and following the Fronius Perfect Welding sales strategy by using solution-based selling and consultative sales techniques to develop and increase market share. The FSR is responsible for demonstrating/presenting the value of Fronius products and services to new and existing customers as well as possesses the ability to differentiate between our products and services.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Establishes new prospects through cold calls, trade shows, site visits, school visits, and other interactions. 
  • Builds new business from existing customers, new prospects, and other avenues. 
  • Maintains current customers by keeping in contact and reacting to their needs and challenges quickly and efficiently. 
  • Develops personal expertise with key elements of our product-line to perform sales demonstrations and has meaningful discussions with weld operators, engineers and management concerning new equipment purchases and upgrades. 
  • Researches prospects and opportunities to determine potential sales and fit to our product line and services
  • Organizes and facilitates sales, technical and learning resources as needed by prospects or customers to achieve their welding and business goals. 
  • Organizes or performs weld equipment demonstrations and product trials in the field or at a Fronius USA facility to build value in previously identified challenges and business shortcomings. 
  • Becomes a trusted business and welding consultant by helping prospects and customers choose the best solution for their business. 
  • Actively influences multi-level decision makers by linking product value to customer pain points and business challenges
  • Coordinates budgets, forecasts, and reports with respective Regional Sales Manager
  • Develops and implements account plans within respective responsibilities for national, international, and global accounts
  • Builds and manages a stable sales pipeline that ensures consistent sales growth through the entire sales cycle
  • Constantly monitors every sales opportunity for viability and actively nurtures them to successful completion. 
  • Evaluates win/loss ratios regularly and continuously develops strategies to improve.
  • Maintains awareness of global, national, regional, and individual sales goals; and works to maintain a successful strategy to meet or exceed each one. 
  • Assists in the development of new sales literature, ads, training materials, and press releases.
  • Examines each opportunity for scope and impact and successfully brings upper management into the conversation when the opportunity requires it before promises being made. 
  • Monitors customers and markets for potential shortcomings in the product line and communicates these to the national support group. 
  • Participates in trade fairs, seminars, and professional organizations at the local, regional, and national levels when required. 
  • Examines the scope of technical, sales, and training requests and develops a strategy on when to address these personally or channel the requests to the appropriate expert.
  • Employs a successful follow-up process that can be used to monitor customer sales, support and training requests and ensures that they have been met and closed.
  • Composes clear verbal and written communications that ensure objectives are met in sales, technical, and business environments.
  • Deals with challenges effectively, positively, and professionally; and promotes teamwork practices to achieve established goals and objectives

  • Records all customer related activities in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform including leads, opportunities, appointments, calls and on-site reports as required.
  • Primarily offers Industrial Welding Systems (IWS) for manual and robotic three phase industrial environments.
  • Properly investigates customer challenges and builds value with the customer in the solution to overcome objectives.  
  • Possesses the ability to manage long and short-term projects to completion
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid passport, or have the ability to obtain and pay for a valid passport
  • Regular Travel
  • Willing and authorized to travel throughout the USA
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Experience in the field and/or associate degree preferred
