We are seeking a per diem Triage RN to provide coverage across four of our specialty practices. These include:
- OBGYN & Infertility (Dover)
-Dover Women's Health (Dover)
-Center for Women's Health and Wellness (Portsmouth)
-Garrison's Women's Health (Dover)

We are looking for an experienced RN to pick up shifts to cover call out, vacancies, and vacations. The preferred summer schedule includes a minimum of two shifts per week, with the option to reduce hours in the fall if necessary.


 

Job Summary

We are seeking a per diem Triage RN to support the practice onsite. The practices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am- 5:00pm and the schedule is staggered accordingly based on practice/employee needs.

Dedicated to phone triage, the Nurse will handle patient interactions via telephone, provide advice in accordance with clinical protocols, coordinate proper disposition, and assist with administering vaccines. Calls are related to patient concerns, appointments, pre and post procedures, urgent care, inpatient admissions, prescription refills, and test results.

Responsible for patient care and support within our hospital's outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.

Essential Functions
-Deliver direct patient care and support in our ambulatory care unit, ensuring high nursing standards.
-Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
-Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
-Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
-Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
-Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.


 

Qualifications

Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required and Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

Experience
Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required and Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare technologies.
