We’ve since scaled into new regions and industry verticals and expanded our product offerings to deliver meaningful value to our clients around the world. </p><p>Today we support more than 4,600 clients across the global education, healthcare, travel &amp; B2B industries, with diverse payment methods across 240 countries &amp; territories and more than 140 currencies.</p><p>With over 1,200  global FlyMates, representing more than 40 nationalities, and in 12 offices world-wide, we’re looking for FlyMates to join the next stage of our journey as we continue to grow.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>Join Flywire as a <strong>Security Engineer</strong> on our Corporate Security Team, where you will play a key role in <strong>safeguarding our internal systems, infrastructure, and processes.</strong> Working closely with IT and Security teams, you’ll develop and enforce security policies, detect and mitigate threats, and drive initiatives to strengthen our corporate security environment. From securing internal tools to managing identity and access systems, your expertise will be pivotal in reducing risk and protecting Flywire’s global operations.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Design and lead <strong>enterprise-level corporate security controls and architecture</strong> across Flywire’s systems and tooling.</li><li>Proactively <strong>identify and prioritise access risks</strong> across internal systems.</li><li>Own and operationalise the <strong>vulnerability management programme</strong> for corporate assets.</li><li>Conduct <strong>Vendor Risk Assessments</strong> to ensure secure third-party relationships.</li><li>Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to <strong>contain and remediate incidents</strong> effectively.</li><li>Analyse new regulatory and security requirements, updating <strong>policies, procedures, and guidelines</strong>.</li><li>Monitor and interpret <strong>security logs and alerts</strong> to detect threats or anomalies.</li><li>Provide <strong>security expertise and guidance</strong> across departments.</li><li>Build and promote <strong>cybersecurity awareness</strong> throughout the organisation.</li><li>Stay ahead of emerging <strong>security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance frameworks</strong>.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>What we're looking for:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Bachelor’s degree</strong> in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.</li><li><strong>3+ years’ experience</strong> in information security, with a focus on <strong>IAM and IT Security</strong>.</li><li>Proficiency across multiple security domains: <strong>Endpoint, Network, IAM, DLP, Zero-Trust.</strong></li><li>Proven ability to <strong>lead large-scale security projects</strong> and provide domain guidance to stakeholders.</li><li>Excellent <strong>analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</strong></li><li>Familiarity with compliance frameworks: <strong>SOC2, PCI, HITRUST, SOX, ISO 27001.</strong></li><li>Relevant certifications (e.g. <strong>ISC2, CompTIA, ISACA</strong>) are highly desirable.</li></ul><p><strong>Why this role?</strong></p><ul><li>Drive <strong>impactful security initiatives</strong> in a fast-growing, global fintech environment.</li><li>Collaborate with <strong>high-performing IT and security teams</strong> on cutting-edge projects.</li><li>Gain exposure to <strong>modern security frameworks and enterprise-scale architecture.</strong></li></ul><p> </p><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>What We Offer:</p><ul><li>Competitive compensation, including Restricted Stock Units </li><li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)</li><li>Flying Start - Our immersive Global Induction Program (Meet our Execs &amp; Global Teams)</li><li>Work with brilliant people that will keep you on your toes, learn more about their journeys by checking out #InsideFlywire on social media</li><li>Dynamic &amp; Global Team (we have been collaborating virtually for years!)</li><li>Wellbeing Programs (Mental Health, Wellness, Yoga/Pilates/HIIT Classes) with Global FlyMates </li><li>Be a meaningful part in our success - every FlyMate makes
