About the role

As a Software Engineer for the Platform team, you will be helping to design and improve our growing identity and access management platform. You will be joining the team that owns Softheon’s Identity and Access Management platform and play an important part in implementing new functionality, maintaining our existing services, and providing your input into the future platform. The Ideal candidate for this position would be a Full Stack developer.

Requirements

You will:

  • Mentor junior engineers, promoting skill growth, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
  • Build and maintain authorization and authentication systems that integrate with identity providers like Active Directory and standards-compliant SSO services using industry-standard protocols like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and WS-Federation.
  • Design and implement RESTful Web APIs, SDKs, and features for our Identity and Access Management solution.
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts, configuration files, and templates for various environments and platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system functionality, performance, and deployment.
  • Continuously improve processes and tools to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and security of our software development lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for our Identity and Access Management solution, including user guides, developer documentation, release notes, and UML diagrams.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and other team activities to ensure best practices and high-quality code.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and software development best practices.
  • Demonstrate autonomy in decision-making and problem-solving throughout the development process.
  • Architect robust and scalable solutions to address complex technical challenges.
  • Anticipate potential issues and proactively implement preventative measures to ensure application stability and functionality.
  • Take ownership of projects, to enhance both technical and functional aspects of the product and ensure alignment with business goals.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional hands-on programming experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year professional hands-on experience required in OAuth 2.0 and OpenID.
  • Experience with authorization and authentication technologies (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, WS-Federation, etc.).
  • Proficiency in C#, with experience in the .NET technology stack.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Travis CI).
  • Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN, or Mercurial).
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design best practices.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and security frameworks, standards, and compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
