Job Description

We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to help shape the future of Procore's global construction platform. As a member of our Construction Intelligence team and strong contributor to the Cloud Runtime organization, you’ll be part of how we evolve our cloud platform infrastructure, security, and developer experience with data. You will orchestrate patterns to introduce a scalable and performant data mesh platform that empowers domain teams to deliver high-quality data products. You will work closely with enterprise architects, domain teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful adoption and evolution of our self-serve data platform.

This position will report to the Director of Product, Data - Construction Intelligence, and will be based in our Austin, TX location.

What you’ll do:

• Own Data Mesh platform components such as Core Application Databases, Streaming Platform, Dev Tooling/DevOps, and Data Lifecycle Management.

• Help define and execute our platform strategy and evolve our product vision for our cloud infrastructure, scale, reliability, and security posture for global expansion.

• Bring empathy for our highly technical customers while enjoying working directly with engineers to solve some of the toughest problems in the industry.

• Identify and manage the infrastructure requirements to empower product teams and improve developer productivity.

• Partner with Solutions product teams to define best practices and approaches to leverage the cloud foundational capabilities to meet business needs.

• Become the driving force of empowerment for team-level decision-making in day-to-day product improvements & bug fixes while maintaining the operability of our services

• Act as the business advocate responsible for interpreting market and technology trends, communicating customer implications, generating customer feedback, identifying growth opportunities, and idea generation while communicating back to the area and team. 

• Align security and infrastructure initiatives to ensure a security-first approach in our roadmaps.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable work experience, Master’s degree is preferred.

• 7+ years of Product Management experience and building/delivering global infrastructure or cloud systems team at a hyper-growth technology company.

• Prior experience building and delivering successful distributed systems and developing public cloud infrastructure within SAAS. 

• Knowledge and experience with APIs, infrastructure to support SaaS-based applications - data platforms, real-time messaging queues, pub-sub products, event-driven frameworks, API platforms or similar.

• Familiarity with infrastructure scaling, resiliency, and security is a plus, especially in cloud environments.

• Experience with CI/CD toolchain, infrastructure-as-code, orchestration, networking, and security.

• Strong collaboration skills, ability to explore new paths and work in international teams

• Nice to have: Passion and/or experience in construction technologies/software and adjacent verticals such as Real Estates, Oil and Gas, or Mining.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $185,800 - $255,475. Eligible for Equity Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
