Job Function:
This role is to serve as the Residential Maintenance Assistant Superintendent for Landscape Maintenance. The position is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Superintendent with maintaining job quality, promoting safety, and perform and supervise landscape maintenance activities at residential, company, and POA accounts.
Use of Company Vehicle:
Designated to drive a company vehicle.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in landscape industry
Bachelor’s degree in horticulture preferred
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Be knowledgeable with computers and be able to work with Word and Excel
Ability to perform all landscape maintenance activities at a high level and in a timely matter
Plant identification knowledge of regional plants used in the landscape
Knowledge and ability to operate a large range of landscape equipment safely
Knowledge and ability to repair minor irrigation and landscape lighting issues
Knowledge and ability to apply pesticides safely
Detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines
Ensure all department and company safety policies are followed

Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively

Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company’s dress code policy
Duties:
Work with management to improve and enforce quality control standards
Provide feedback to management, crews and clients and provide recommendations for
improvement and follow-up to ensure problems are resolved
Assist in the training of crew members in proper horticultural care per the direction of the
Residential Manager
Assist with training and making sure all crew members are informed on proper equipment
usage, safety and quality standards
Fill in as needed when foreman are absent
Work with the maintenance crews to complete landscape operations and maintain quality
Work with the enhancement crew in every capacity to expedite jobs and produce quality
landscapes
Assist in the repair, replacement and adjustment of sprinkler system components as well be
able to understand and program multiple types of irrigation clocks
Apply pesticides safely and in accordance with manufacturer’s labeling when directed by
immediate supervisor
Assist with completing site visits and site inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
Take photographs, document findings and generate reports for the team to utilize
Identify plant and turf diseases
Work with customers to understand their needs
Identify opportunities for enhancement sales opportunities
Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the landscape properties
Adapt to organizational and environmental changes
Attend all scheduled meetings and provide suggestions for improvement
Physical Responsibilities:
Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for
prolonged periods
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
If applicable, must have the ability to work for extended periods of time in an outdoor
environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain and higher than normal noise levels
Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 80 lbs intermittently throughout a shift
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
