What this job involves:
As a Sr. Building Automation Systems Technician at JLL, you'll be the technical leader driving optimal performance across our building automation systems in our Critical Environments portfolio. This critical role ensures our client properties operate at peak efficiency while advancing JLL's commitment to sustainable, cost-effective building management. What your day-to-day will look like:
Monitor and assess building health status across multiple sites, ensuring all BMS components operate within optimal parameters and identifying performance trends
Review and evaluate current maintenance practices, providing strategic recommendations to improve system reliability, performance, and longevity
Analyze BMS design architecture and provide technical input for system upgrades and future site implementations, ensuring scalability and efficiency
Troubleshoot complex automation system issues and serve as subject matter expert for escalated technical problems requiring advanced expertise
Collaborate with facility teams to optimize BMS efficiency, enhancing sustainability outcomes and reducing operational costs through intelligent system management
Conduct system performance audits and generate detailed reports on building automation effectiveness, translating technical data into actionable insights
Lead technical training sessions and mentor junior technicians on advanced BMS operations and best practices, fostering knowledge transfer and team development
Required qualifications:
10+ years of hands-on experience in building automation systems management and operations across diverse facility types
Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical building systems including HVAC, lighting, and critical infrastructure with deep understanding of system interdependencies
