Project Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) Manager

Description

Management and Construction Solutions Inc, an industry leader in the management of construction upgrades and installations of large industrial projects, is looking for an experienced Project LOTO Manager. This is a full-time year-round position with an 6-month assignment in Skowhegan, ME. Permanent relocation is not required but onsite work is required for 20-25 days per month. A per diem allowance for housing and food as well as compensated travel between site and home are provided.  Duties include:

•   A daily presence in the field to implement the LOTO of newly installed equipment and work with Contractors to keep on-schedule and under budget while maintaining safe working conditions, including identifying/removing roadblocks to contractors’ progress toward production targets

Other duties may include:

• Work with the Project Coordinators to implement system LOTO execution and hit targets of CCO, ECO & PCO completions.
• Work with contractors to walkdown LOTO prior to work commencing
• Coordinate between contractors, project team members and mill operations on LOTO procedures, newly proposed LOTO, and implementation.
• Work with the commissioning team to appropriately remove locks and transfer, care, custody and control in an organized fashion. Work to ensure accuracy, and thoroughness of the LOTO system
• Complete LOTO audits and report back to the safety department
• Above everything else, ensure the safety of all employees and ensure nothing compromises this.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 10+ years’ experience in the LOTO industrial construction field
• Ability to manage manpower and budgets for large projects
• Ability to think critically and independently to make sound decisions
• Attention to detail is critical for success

Compensation

• Hourly, depending on experience. This is a non-exempt position, so overtime hours are paid at 1.5x base rate. Anticipated workload of 50 hours per week for 2023. 
• Per diem allowance for housing and food provided
• Compensable travel time between site and home, every third week
• Travel expense reimbursement
