Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Associate Director, and with direction from the Community-Engaged Programs Coordinator, the incumbent follows established procedures and processes to assist with general program administration, data management and reporting, and program outreach and communication. The incumbent will assist with completing campus forms, managing and monitoring the program calendar, general e-mail accounts, and incoming calls, and providing logistical support for program activities. They will also help monitor and guide Federal Work Student students assigned to program projects. The incumbent will assist with updating and maintaining the CCE’s online database, provide general support to faculty, students, and community organizations, and assist with communication and outreach to program constituents and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative program support. Assist the Administrative Support Coordinator with the completion of campus processes and processes related to the Community-Engaged Learning programs and activities, including but not limited to space reservations and IRA reimbursement forms (Direct Deposit and Petty Cash).
- Responsible for data coordination and reporting. Maintain up-to-date and accurate program information within the CCE’s online database (e.g., current courses, community partners, and placement information).
- Assist with outreach and communication. Communicate with faculty, students, and community partners in person or virtually, via phone, e-mail, Zoom, or Teams, as needed.

Excellent organizational and time management skills. Working knowledge of data management systems, protocols, and tools. Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse personnel in community and governmental agencies. Strong communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal). Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems. Ability to work with people with diverse backgrounds (e.g., gender, race/ethnicity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, and disability).
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
- Equivalent to four years of administrative support experience required.
- College or university-level coursework, BA preferred.
- At least one year experience working in a university office environment (CSULB experience preferred), familiarity with service learning and community engagement in higher education preferred.
Physical Summary
Light work - Job involves some lifting of medium weight objects (10-20 pounds) and/or 10% - 20% of the job involves standing or walking.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $3,864- $6,072 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
