Description
Join our Business Office team at the College of Dentistry! We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented person to play a key role in supporting our dentistry revenue cycle. You will be contributing to our success by helping patients navigate the complexities of insurance and ensuring their financial well-being!

Responsibilities:
o Providing financial guidance on insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and down payments.
o Approving student lab orders after securing required payments.
o Managing Medicaid verification and updating records to ensure proper coverage.
o Reviewing patient eligibility and benefits to inform providers of coverage lapses.
o Educating students on insurance processes to enhance their understanding of dental business operations.
o Handling patient inquiries regarding balances, setting up payment plans, and collecting payments.
o Processing insurance claims, preauthorization’s, and appeals.
o Monitoring accounts, managing refunds, and maintain compliance with College of Dentistry policies.
Salary: $50,967 (Pay Grade: 3A)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
May require occasional overtime.
Work Location: On-Site
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
· High level, fast-paced customer service experience in a financial, health care, or other relevant environment including:
o Knowledge of healthcare billing and revenue cycle.
o Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
o Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
o Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, calendaring and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft or Google).
o Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and handle difficult and complex situations.
o Demonstrated active listening skills.
o Experience utilizing conflict management/resolutions skills and de-escalation techniques.
o Demonstrated ability to facilitate positive outcomes by collaborating and working in a team environment.
Desirable:
· Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
· Awareness of evolving insurance industry submission trends/changes.
